Extracurricular Activities

Lancaster Central Elementary provides students numerous extracurricular activities in which students can choose to be involved in. Teachers coach both the Math Bowl and Spell Team for fourth and fifth graders. Our fifth grade students may also participate in the National Spelling Bee where interested students study and challenge each other. The winner of the OES Spelling Bee goes on to compete at the Wells County Spelling Bee. The winners continue to proceed to the state and national levels. Teachers also have offered various clubs such as Spanish, German, Science, Robotics, Jump Rope, Art, World Language, Lancaster Lightening, TED eD, Chime Choir, and Dance.

Our music department offers students the opportunity to be in Chime Choir and Boppin' Bobcats. Boppin' Bobcats compete at the Circle of the State competition each year. The groups also perform throughout the year at various music programs.

In addition to these groups, Lancaster Central Elementary fourth and fifth grade students may also participate in Student Council. Student Council works each year to improve our school, foster student involvement, and raise money for various charities.
