Message From NMS Principal, Mr. Wilson

It is with pride and great pleasure that I welcome you to the Norwell Middle School website. With each New Year comes new technology, and the opportunity to bring our school into your home and office in a more personal way. It is our intention to present an informative resource for parents, students and community members, and offer an effective means of communication with our staff members. NMS believes that effective communication is vital in the successful development of your child both academically and emotionally. It is our hope that as we continue to build this website it will provide a significant impact in the way your children learn and interact with their teachers through individual classroom websites, calendars, and timely updates. Please check back often, as we will be posting information regarding building-wide programs, specific class and grade-level activities, and sporting events.

At Norwell Middle School, we are an educational community proud of the tradition to meet the needs of all of our students in preparing for their future. Our goal is to create an environment that will empower our students to become lifelong learners and problem solvers, develop self-responsibility and self-reliance, and sense of community. We will teach and model the use of effective communication, cooperative relationships, and critical thinking as we continue our work to support an outstanding middle school.

We recognize that each child brings his or her own strengths, talents, capabilities, and passions to the middle school every day. The opportunities to display these characteristics are important in the development of every child as an individual. We encourage students to create, grow, and build on previous skills by challenging them to learn, get involved in school activities such as student council and yearbook, participate in the spelling & geography bees, and join sports teams representing Norwell Middle School. It is our pleasure to watch your child evolve and become a well-rounded, responsible young adult.

We hope you enjoy our website, and find it a user-friendly way to check school schedules, get information about programs & services we offer for our students and local community, contact staff members, and get necessary forms. Your comments are welcome; please feel free to contact me regarding this or other concerns.
