At Northern Wells Community Schools we are committed to using highly qualified substitute teachers to work with students in the event of a teacher absence. School will be in session on Monday, February 18th, which was originally scheduled as a possible make up day. To make up a snow day from January 14th we will be having an e-Learning day on Friday, April 19th.

Come see for yourself...why parents are sending their children to the Northern Wells Community Schools. Open House will be happening at Lancaster Central Elementary School and at Ossian Elementary School. You will be able to meet with teachers, visit preschool and kindergarten classrooms, tour the facilities and have an opportunity to obtain enrollment information. On February 21, Lancaster Central Elementary School will be hosting the Math Bowl. The competition will be made up of four rounds with three different team members competing in each round. Each round shall consist of eight multiple-choice questions. The competition will be based on The National Council of Teachers Mathematics Publication Curriculum Standards. Our Lancaster team is coached by Diane Yonker and former Lancaster student, Jasper Kreigh. We would like to wish the following students the best of luck as they participate in the Math Bowl; Tristan Gase, Payton Brown, Kaylee Eicher, Caiden Petrie, Brady Smith, Noah Brooks, Addison Lyons, Kale Fuess, Justin Goebel, Eden Stoppenhagen, Emma Fey, Noah Schamerloh and Kaden Williams.
Lancaster Central will be participating in Hoops for Heart and Jump Rope for Heart on Thursday, February 28th and Friday, March 1st, respectively. Hoops for Heart is open to students in grades 3-5 and Jump Rope for Heart is for K-5 students. Students must choose only one event to participate in. Both of these events will take place in the gym starting at 8:00AM. Students will be served breakfast before heading to class at 8:50. We are hoping to beat last years amount of $8700.00. We appreciate you helping us raise money for The American Heart Association. Be sure and look in your child's backpack for more information!

The Robotics team is coached by Cara Gerber and Nilah Horner.
