Counselors will be meeting with all seniors during their English classes on Thursday, August 19th. During this meeting we will begin discussing the overall transition to life after high school (including college admissions, entering the workforce, and/or joining the military). Then, beginning Friday, August 20th, we will meet with all seniors individually to review credits for high school graduation, discuss individual post-secondary plans and provide help and guidance in the areas of college admissions, scholarships, careers/military, etc. Students are asked to contact their counselor with a preferred meeting date/time, if needed. Otherwise, we will schedule meetings around student/counselor availability. Parents are welcomed to attend these meetings as well! Attached, you will find two helpful documents – a Senior Parent Newsletter and the PowerPoint that counselors will be using in the senior group meetings. If you have any questions please contact your child’s counselor and/or if you would like to be a part of your child’s senior meeting, please contact Kaley Grzych at [email protected] to schedule.
