8th Grade Parent Night

On March 31st at 6:00PM in the Norwell High School auditorium, we will be holding a parent informational session to explain the scheduling process, review the Indiana high school diploma tracks and credit requirements, courses offered at Norwell High School, and to provide information on other important aspects of the transition to high school.  It is our hope that all 8th grade students and their parent will be able to attend this very important meeting.

In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, attendance at this event will be limited to one parent per child. We do plan to live-stream and/or post a recorded version of the presentation on our website after the event.

Prior to this informational session, we encourage you to review the 2021-2022 Norwell High School Course Offerings Guide, Graduation Requirements/Diploma Checklists, and the Freshman Course Selection Sheet posted on the Norwell High School Guidance website at http://www.nwcs.k12.in.us/NHSGuidance.aspx.  Hard copies of the Graduation Requirements/Diploma Checklists and Freshman Course Selection Sheet will be available at the parent informational session.

Beginning on April 1st, high school counselors will be meeting with all 8th grade students during their science classes to review these items and begin to work with students on making their high school course requests.  If you would like to schedule an individual meeting with your son/daughter’s counselor, please call or email Kaley Grzych, High School Guidance Secretary, at [email protected]

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the high school counseling office at 260.543.2213.
