On March 31st at 6:00PM in the Norwell High School auditorium, we will be holding a parent informational session to explain the scheduling process, review the Indiana high school diploma tracks and credit requirements, courses offered at Norwell High School, and to provide information on other important aspects of the transition to high school. It is our hope that all 8th grade students and their parent will be able to attend this very important meeting.In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, attendance at this event will be limited to one parent per child. We do plan to live-stream and/or post a recorded version of the presentation on our website after the event. Prior to this informational session, we encourage you to review the 2021-2022 Norwell High School Course Offerings Guide, Graduation Requirements/Diploma Checklists, and the Freshman Course Selection Sheet posted on the Norwell High School Guidance website at http://www.nwcs.k12.in.us/NHSGuidance.aspx. Hard copies of the Graduation Requirements/Diploma Checklists and Freshman Course Selection Sheet will be available at the parent informational session. Beginning on April 1st, high school counselors will be meeting with all 8th grade students during their science classes to review these items and begin to work with students on making their high school course requests. Congratulations to the Student Spotlight nominees for the Math Department!
Congratulations to the Norwell show choirs who won it all in Round 3 at Fairfield Festival of Champions March 13th. Both Mixed and Unisex groups, Knight Moves and Knight Stars, each won Grand Champion, Best Vocals and Best Choreography in their divisions. Aiden Curry was named Best Performer for Mixed, Molly Koteskey was named Best Performer for Unisex and Mikayla Grant won Best Female Soloist in a Show for the Small Mixed Division.
