Intern of the Week

Senior Jackson Smith has been selected to receive the Norwell High School Internship Spotlight award. In conjunction with the Norwell Work Based Learning Program, Jackson did his first semester experience with mentor Skip Edwards at Sell It On, LLC out of Bluffton. This semester he is interning Norwell High School business teacher and girls basketball coach Eric Thornton. Jackson is the son of Drew and Kati Smith.

Sell It On, LLC is an on line merchandising business that buys and sells automotive parts and tools in the appliance industry. Jackson's duties included inventory control, data processing, and on line listing. In the business classroom, Jackson observes Mr. Thornton's teaching styles, techniques, and classroom management strategies. He also helps with grading, copying, and various duties within the realm of the girls basketball program.

After graduation, Jackson plans to attend Taylor University to study business and accounting. His ultimate career goal is to become a financial entrepreneur.
