Senior Ashley Miller has been selected to receive the weekly Norwell High School ICE Student Spotlight award. She is employed by Northern Wells Community Schools working in the Ossian Elementary Latchkey Program with mentors Krissy Riley and Ashley Daub. Ashley is the daughter of Rick and Jenny Nes.
Supervising children grades K-5 can be a very challenging
feat for a latchkey employee. Ashley works in the a.m. hours from 6:30 to 9:00
and in the afternoons from 3:30 to 5:30. The top priority for the latchkey
program is to provide a safe environment for the students before and after
school. Part of Ashley's job is to check the students in and out of the
facility with parent and/or guardian signatures. She also helps with breakfast
