Junior Allie Dillion has been selected to receive the Norwell High School Internship Spotlight award. She has been doing her experience at The Decatur Veterinarian Hospital with mentor Bre Strome. Allie is the daughter of Greg and Ashley Dillion.
Allie has observed pet appointments with the vet and owners of the pets. She has learned about various animal treatments which includes flea and tick, ear, eye, and skin issues. She has also watched surgeries such as spay and neuter, tumors, injuries, and exploratory. Allie has been a huge help with the general care of the animals in the form of feedings, cleanings, and going for walks.
After graduation, Allie plans to attend Huntington University to major in pre-veterinarian studies. Ultimately, she wants to go to Purdue University to become a veterinarian.
