NHS Senior Makayla Young was awarded the Saint Mary's Academic Scholarship at Marian University Ancilla. This competitive scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates a passion for education, community, and faith. In addition to financial support, the student selected for this opportunity could participate in co-curricular programming. These experiences are designed to help the student become a distinctive and competitive applicant for postgraduate employment. Makayla plans to study nursing and later become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Congratulations, Makayla!
NHS Counselors will be holding a Freshmen Orientation to explain the transition to high school, our scheduling process, and to review the Indiana high school diploma tracks, credit requirements, and courses offered at Norwell High School. It is our hope that all current 8th grade students and their parents will be able to attend this very important meeting. More information and resources will be sent prior to this event.
