Thankful for this visit from some local members of the Cherokee Tribe! King of the Sky (Jay Hyland) and his daughters shared so much! He and his daughter (Bright Star) demonstrated the fancy dancer style of dance. He splits his time between dancing and drumming ๐ช His other daughter dressed in traditional womenโs style of dress. They brought various artifacts such as handmade beaded items, sand art, a lance, drum, and other items to share with the kids! Thank you!

Native American Day in first grade yesterday! First graders learned how Squanto helped the Pilgrims, how the Native Americans communicated using symbols, and even had a guest reader from the Wells County Public Library!

As part of our continuing efforts to provide a safe school environment for our students, Lancaster is running a mock emergency Reunification Drill on Friday, November 17, 2023. All 5th grade students will participate in this drill.
During this drill, all students will participate in a Lockdown Drill, which they practice regularly. Only 5th grade students will participate in the off-site reunification at Norwell High School. Reunification Drill will take place between 1:00-3:15pm.
